summer travel makeup essentials

Jessika G is my creative sis from Miami. Jess is also a blogger, beauty lover as well as an upcoming Makeup artist. My girl is currently completing her training at the one and only Sephora. I felt like it made so much sense for her to drop some knowledge on us about the best Summer Makeup Essentials to have for our travels, enjoy.

Summer Travel Makeup Essentials

If you haven’t already noticed hot girl summertime is in full effect!

The weather is hot, the beaches are crowded and there’s a rooftop party jumpin’ off someplace with a refreshing cocktail with your name on it – just waiting to cool you down.

Sparkling Margarita anyone?

Now, I don’t know about you but during the summertime, I love a good vacation or quick weekend getaway. It’s a great time to rest, recharge and catch some rays (with necessary protection of course).

Some of my other passions – besides all things beauty – include food and travel. I caught the travel bug just a few years ago after going on a Caribbean cruise. Keeping up with blogs such as JWV and foodies like The Brunch Boys. They always give me the greatest ideas on what to eat and which cities to add to my travel bucket list.

Don’t worry ya girl has got you covered

But, what’s a makeup lover’s biggest dilemma when it comes to travelling? If you’re anything like me then you like to travel with your entire cosmetic collection, including all ten shades of red lipstick, because… choices.

Am I right or am I right? Well, you’ll quickly find out that packing those large makeup bags with tons of products will have all been done in vain! I know for a fact that you won’t even get to use half of it.

No need to fret! Today I’m breaking down travel-friendly summer makeup essentials that’ll keep you looking like your best self during all of your summer travels

Milk Makeup HyrdroGrip Primer Mini

If you could only bring one primer with you on vacation then this one IS IT! The Hydro Grip is hydrating, calming, and smoothing. Most importantly, this baby delivers. If you’re searching for a primer that’s going to keep your makeup looking fresh, and locked in place all day, then this primer is for you. Plus it comes in a travel-friendly mini, perfect for your travel makeup bag!

Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation

There’s a reason why this foundation has been a top seller since it launched a few months ago. This powder leaves you with a flawless soft, velvety matte finish great for the summer heat. This water-resistant formula is designed to battle sweat and humidity, plus it will keep you looking fresh all day. It is sleek, slim packaging makes it easy to fit in your beach bag, evening clutch, or your carry-on making it super ideal for your travels.

Tartelette Flirt Eyeshadow Palette

“Though she be but little, she is fierce!” This pint-sized palette hits all the marks for travel. It’s compact and the eyeshadows will give you all the looks you’ll need on your vacation; From fresh, everyday glam to sultry and smokey evening looks. The colors work well on a variety of skin tones (my favorites being the two shimmers: touch and passion) and give such great color payoff with minimal fallout so although the pans are small, this baby will last you! My favorite part about this palette is not only is it great for travel, but it’s perfect for every day glam back home so you’ll definitely get tons of use out of it.
